The Cottages

The Culinary Cottages were the first residences developed at Flora Farms, setting the foundation for a true farm-to-table lifestyle. Ten handcrafted cottages sit within a private section of the farm, offering authentic farm living. Our residents and guests enjoy exclusive access to a community pool and spa, the family park, farm harvesting privileges, and bespoke Flora experiences. 

Each home is architecturally inspired by the farm itself, featuring lime-plastered straw bale walls, rusted metal roofs, and wrought steel details, evoking a timeless aesthetic that harmonizes with the land.

The Haylofts

Nestled into the hillside overlooking the farm, the Hillside Haylofts became Flora’s second intimate residential enclave. Ten private residences blend rustic charm with refined design, embracing a sustainable, nature-forward approach to farm living. The Haylofts share the exclusive owner privileges of Flora’s community—a tranquil pool and spa, the family park, curated farm experiences, and access to the Field Kitchen and Grocery. 

Designed with farmstead authenticity, the Haylofts’ open-air aesthetic, natural materials, and panoramic farm views create a seamless integration of indoor and outdoor living.

The Lofts

Perched at the highest point of the farm, The Lofts introduce a more elevated, contemporary expression of Flora living—where cultivated fields meet the vibes of San José del Cabo. Framed by panoramic views of both the farmland below and the city beyond, this limited collection includes two 2-bedroom residences, two 1-bedroom residences, and eight thoughtfully designed studios.

Clean architectural lines, warm natural materials, and expansive terraces create a refined, modern retreat—rooted in the land, yet connected to the rhythm of town. It’s farmstead living with a cosmopolitan edge.

More than 25 years ago, Flora Farms began as a simple idea—a commitment to growing food the right way, without pesticides, industrial practices, or artificial shortcuts. 

Founders Gloria and Patrick Greene left behind the fast-paced life of San Francisco in search of a slower, more intentional way of living. Settling in the foothills of the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains, they cultivated a small organic farm, growing for local restaurants and markets. 

Over time, the farm blossomed into a thriving agricultural community, home to Flora’s Field Kitchen, the Farm Bar, the Grocery, the Live Work Shops, the Farm Spa, and the Residential Communities—The Culinary Cottages, Hillside Haylofts, and The Lofts at Flora. Yet, at its heart, Flora Farms has remained true to its roots: a place where food is grown with care, homes are built with craftsmanship, and life follows the pace of nature.
